Our Staff

We expect our pastor(s) to lead, train, preach and teach the Word, cast the vision, and serve as an example of godliness before the congregation. We call them to a ministry of Word and prayer, equipping believers to do the work of ministry.

Tim Trudeau

Tim and Cari grew up in northern Minnesota, and were married in 1983. After a year internship in their “home” church in Thief River Falls, they moved back to the Chicago area, where Tim finished his M.Div. and Th.M at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, while pastoring an Evangelical Free Church in Fox Lake. God then called them to an EFC in Beresford, SD, and an EFC in Boone, before Tim became the Senior Pastor of Grace. God has blessed Tim and Cari with three  daughters, Sarah, Charissa, and Linnea. Tim enjoys reading, woodworking, and the outdoors. He is passionate about expository preaching and global evangelization. In addition to his pastorate at Grace, Tim also currently serves as the Director of Baltic Church Planting for Emmanuel Ministries, Intl. Tim is fond of the Puritans, and is often quoting Jonathan Edwards on the sufficiency of Christ alone to satisfy the inner cravings of the soul: “The excellency of Christ is an object adequate to the natural cravings of the soul… the soul is exceedingly ravished when it first looks on this beauty, and it is never weary of it… The soul that comes to Christ, feeds upon this, and lives upon it… Here the longing soul may be satisfied, and the hungry soul may be filled with goodness. The delight and contentment that is to be found here, passes understanding, and is unspeakable and full of glory.” Tim’s favorite texts to preach on this theme would include Psalm 16:8-11Psalm 73:25-26Isaiah 55:1-3Colossians 3:1-4, and I Peter 1:8-9.
