Our Staff

We expect our pastor(s) to lead, train, preach and teach the Word, cast the vision, and serve as an example of godliness before the congregation. We call them to a ministry of Word and prayer, equipping believers to do the work of ministry.

Tim Trudeau

Tim and Cari grew up in northern Minnesota, and were married in 1983. After a year internship in their “home” church in Thief River Falls, they moved back to the Chicago area, where Tim finished his M.Div. and Th.M at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, while pastoring an Evangelical Free Church in Fox Lake. God then called them to an EFC in Beresford, SD, and an EFC in Boone, before Tim became the Senior Pastor of Grace. God has blessed Tim and Cari with three  daughters, Sarah, Charissa, and Linnea. Tim enjoys reading, woodworking, and the outdoors. He is passionate about expository preaching and global evangelization. In addition to his pastorate at Grace, Tim also currently serves as the Director of Baltic Church Planting for Emmanuel Ministries, Intl. Tim is fond of the Puritans, and is often quoting Jonathan Edwards on the sufficiency of Christ alone to satisfy the inner cravings of the soul: “The excellency of Christ is an object adequate to the natural cravings of the soul… the soul is exceedingly ravished when it first looks on this beauty, and it is never weary of it… The soul that comes to Christ, feeds upon this, and lives upon it… Here the longing soul may be satisfied, and the hungry soul may be filled with goodness. The delight and contentment that is to be found here, passes understanding, and is unspeakable and full of glory.” Tim’s favorite texts to preach on this theme would include Psalm 16:8-11Psalm 73:25-26Isaiah 55:1-3Colossians 3:1-4, and I Peter 1:8-9.

 

Jeffrey Wohlfert

Jeffrey was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN.  It was there when he was saved, baptized, and called into vocational ministry.  After high school Jeffrey moved to Springfield, MO to attend Baptist Bible College.  He graduated from BBC with a Bachelor of Arts in Missions. In September of 2005 Jeffrey married Michelle.  Since then they have been blessed with six children.  He is currently working on his Master of Arts in Theological Studies through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before receiving his first call to vocational ministry, Jeffrey worked in the facility management industry for eleven years. In the spring of 2012 God called him to serve Burwell Baptist Church in central NE.  He served that congregation first as Youth Pastor for two years and then as Lead Pastor for three years.  Now he is serving Grace Community Church in Boone, IA as Associate Pastor. Jeffrey is passionate about the Gospel, God’s Word, and God’s people.  He has a desire to bring people into the family of God, and bring them up in the family of God.  He enjoys the outdoors by playing ball with his children, gardening, composting, fishing, and taking walks with Michelle.  He also enjoys woodworking and watching movies with his family.
